Looking Online for Mobile Caterers at Weddings
While researching for mobile caterers for an upcoming function, I was amazed at how much research was required to find mobile caterers to suit my needs. I used the internet to search websites for local catering companies that offered great food at a great price. With my budget in mind this was completely blown while looking at the overall costs of hiring a caterer, chef and a staff to cook and serve onsite. Even once I had received replies to my email I was still a little unsure of the total costs for the complete service as most catering companies charged staff hire separately to food costs. I was even surprised at how many did not even bother to reply to my enquiry at all.
If you have not planned for a wedding or function before it may easily become a little overwhelming at the uncertainty of pricings and the time involved in waiting for people to respond for availability.
I run an online business myself and understand how important it is for people working with budgets and that people know what they want and how much they are willing to pay.
Given my experience with my first round of enquiries, I was a more specific in looking for a mobile catering company that was fast in responding and ultimately that was able to provide an easy to understand pricing system.
My preferred mobile catering team was Sunshine Coast SafeHands Catering. They offered a quick response to my request and were able to provide a pricing per person and once off booking fee for their services. The pricing included 1 chef and 1 wait staff for the duration of the food service, so I was easily able to keep to a set price. Providing all their own plates, cutlery, napkins and cooking equipment they really did an impressive job. Before booking I could easily understand the menus that were available, and most importantly see an abundance of photos from recent catering jobs. This really allowed me to understand how the food and presentation would look and how amazing their buffets really are. Finger Foods were served after the ceremony, and they even provided me with Finger Foods for the bridal party to take with for photographs. On my return everyone was commenting on how beautiful and fresh the Finger Foods were and how beautiful the fish and calamari were.
The desserts were also amazing, I was looking forward to the Pavlova and this was beautiful served with Red Plum Coulis, Caramel Sauce, Fresh Cream, Anzac Biscuit slice and beautiful smelling spearmint as garnish. Safehands Catering worked amazingly well to ensure all my guests were looked after, food was served on time and everything was cleared away before their timely departure.
They provided me with everything I would need for their service, including work space required, two tables for the buffet and one for desserts and an urn for tea/coffee. Everything else was provided. Timings were very important and were very efficient to ensure service was on time. Arriving before the wedding ceremony, Finger Foods were served with buffet and dessert to follow. Their efficient service and cleanup meant they departed just over an hour after dinner was served and we could move on with the rest of our celebrations.
If you are looking for a mobile catering company, and things do seem a little impossible don't worry. You will find a company perfect for you to provide a beautiful catering service. It just takes a little perseverance to find someone perfect for your needs, a little like finding a husband!
